Lady Rose Watson is a triple threat talent who sings, dances, and acts. Lady Rose is not only known as a great performer, but also as an entrepreneur leading her own company, TWG, Inc as president, producer, director, and songwriter; doing everything with class, elegance and excellence.
Classically educated at the School of the Arts, Virginia Commonwealth University in Virginia, she has toured and performed extensively in the USA, Europe, the Caribbean, South America and Asia. Lady Rose has appeared on numerous television shows, and has an extensive resume of stage credits in Europe and the USA.
In Europe, she co-starred with Ron Williams in the musical, Ray; with Joan Orleans in Mahalia; and with Joann Bell in Oh Happy Day. She was a principal performer in both Tenoritas and Sister Act during their European tours, and in the hit musical, Beehive in Hamburg, Germany.
In the USA, her musical credits include Little Shop of Horrors, Crowns, Ain't Misbehavin’, Beehive, Blues in the Night, Songs from the Soul, Tales of Hoffman, the Magic Flute, and the epic operetta, Carmen. With all her monumental successes ranging from stage to television, her first love is gospel music. Out of a deep desire to share the joy of her music with the rest of the world, she founded the Black Gospel Angels.
The music of Lady Rose Watson and the Black Gospel Angels is heavenly! Started in 2015, this dynamic ensemble from the USA, with its soulful mix of traditional gospel music and contemporary rhythms leaves audiences standing, jumping, stomping and cheering in expressions of pure joy!

April Hall is a soul-stirring singer who has performed with a long list of award-winning gospel artists since she was 8 years old. Recognized nationally for her talent, she has performed internationally in Germany, Turkey, Austria, London, and Switzerland. The recipient of numerous nominations and awards, she released her first single, Champion in 2014 which charted on the iTunes Top 25.
In 2019 she released her first solo album, The H.O.P.E. Experience, available digitally for download. She is featured on the music video, “You’re the Lifted” which received over 6 million views online.
She has also ministered with award winning artists such as Isaiah D. Thomas, VaShawn Mitchell, Ricky Dillard and New G, Damon Little and Donald Lawrence.
Despite her career success, April continues to serve her church and share her musical talents. Her passion for using her musical gifts to inspire people is surpassed only by her love for her daughter, Princess Anaya Kirston.

DAVON FLEMING
SINGER, TENOR/ALTO
With a combination of soul, R&B and Gospel, the world was bound to know the name - Davon Fleming. The Baltimore native is no stranger to the stage having performed at the White House, toured internationally and as a background vocalist for some of the industry's top artist. Most recently, he made his TV comeback as a contestant on NBC's hit singing competition show "The Voice" (USA) - where he amazed viewers and Judges with his performances week after week. Following his run on the show, Fleming ended as a Semi-Finalist as the last original member standing on 'Jennifer Hudson's Team'. He left his mark by topping the charts each week and being one of the only contestants in the history of the show to place in 3 different charts during a Season (Pop, R&B, and Christian), Fleming is a steadily rising star with no plans on falling anytime soon.
PATRICK NEWBY
MUSICAL DIRECTOR
The musical story of Patrick Newby began in elementary. His early explorations with the cello formed the platform for musical instruction that included the piano, organ, theory, composition, sight reading and orchestration. A powerful creative, disciplined musician and artist, he is a distinctive vocalist, arranger and songwriter.
A child of the church, he serves as the Director of Worship for the 12,000 member Saint Paul’s Baptist Church in Richmond, VA (USA). He has toured extensively in Italy, Switzerland and Germany, and its with great excitement that he joins the tour as musical director.
MARKISE HICKS
SINGER, TENOR/BARITONE
Markise Hicks is a singer, songwriter, and producer, an American independent Gospel artist. He is known throughout the southeastern region of the United States for his energetic style of music with his ensemble “The MO band.” His Debut album “Markise Hicks and the Mo Band: Live” garnered five award nominations, and the opportunity to sing on stages across the U.S. He is also the worship coordinator for his church in Norfolk, Virginia where he serves as choir director, and leads over 6,000 people in praise and worship every weekend.
EMMETT WALKER IV
BASS MUSICIAN
Emmett Walker is making his debut international tour performance with the Black Gospel Angels 2019 tour. However, his dream of being a professional musician began some time ago. His love for music began with drums, continued with piano and ultimately found expression with the electric bass guitar.
Music has always been a part of who he is. Preparing for a career as producer, arranger, and performer, he has performed with a number of well-known artists across the U.S., and is completing his formal education at the world-renowned Berklee College of Music. We welcome Emmett Walker, IV to the 2019 Tour of the Black Gospel Angels.
J. J. LASSITER
DRUMMER
is a dynamic drummer, and has shared his percussive stylings with a number of well-established artists around the U.S. A newcomer to the Black Gospel Angels Tour, his musical experience and exposure have enabled him to function as a producer, music programmer, musical director, drum technician, keyboard and bass guitar player. In his element on the drum set, he plays to the beat of his heart. He uses his God-given gift as both a ministry and a mission. We welcome JJ Lassiter to the 2019 Tour of the Black Gospel Angels.
